Common Goals of Private Instruction

Work one-on-one with the owner and founder of Yobe studios, Havi Heber. Private instruction is useful in developing a home practice. Private yoga sessions allow you to work privately with a yoga teacher  to create a practice that makes sense for your body and your level of experience. While all yoga supports you physically, emotionally, and spiritually, one-on-one yoga lets you work on what makes sense for you—at your own pace.

There are several reasons why you should add private sessions to your weekly exercise practice.
They're helpful if:

  • You need to make your own schedule.
  • You're a beginner and you want to get started in yoga without being overwhelmed or intimidated
  • You want to go to the next level in your practice or work more in-depth
  • You have injuries (back, knee, shoulder) or health concerns (women's issues, stress, arthritis,
    chronic headaches, insomnia)
  • You want to work toward a specific physical goal such as increased flexibility, balance, or strength; target problem areas like tight hips or hamstrings or weak knees, or increase your mental focus in
    a particular sport or activity
  • You want to add yoga to your weight-loss or strength-training program
  • You want to cross-train for marathons or triathlons
  • You want to learn more about yourself—gaining awareness without judgment
  • You can also sign up for semi-private sessions (for you and a friend) or invite up to 3 others to join you.

Cost
The cost for a single private yoga session starts at $80. Package discounts are available for 6 lessions $70 and 12 lesson packages $60. Semi-private and small group sessions are also available at discounted prices.

About Yoga

The practice of Yoga is possible for everyone.  Whether you are a marathon runner, couch potato, or somewhere in-between, Yoga will help increase your level of flexibility, strength, and oxygen intake. Yoga helps to increase muscle strength, bone density, flexibility, balance, awareness, concentration, etc.  It also aids with digestion, increases range of motion, and gives the person an overall sense of calm and well being.

Yoga isn't meant to replace your current workout since it can be practiced in addition to your exercise program.  Most athletes find that they are better able to perform their chosen form of exercise and sport much better when they incorporate Yoga into their lifestyles.

Yoga is the balance of mind, body and spirit.  It is a non-impact form of exercise.
